The mutual dislike between French and Italians result in a greater resistance on the Western front. Italian women fight heroically to protect their teenage daughters. After all, a true Italian woman cannot allow a French to capture her daughter, and perhaps even cook her in a classless French recipe! The battles are ferocious with many victims on both sides; the Pink Army organizes a raid into a French camp to liberate young prisoners.
